webdav is an extension of http, providing a 'write' operation. Apache can handle that.
CaldDav
Is a official RFC based on top of webdav (access) and icalendar (file format), adding a directory structure + misc stuff to provide a standard for servers.
caldav servers
- there's a mod_caldav for apache, though not in gentoo yet
- caldendar server, from Apple, mainly of only use for/by/through apple.7)
A server really oriented toward Debian. Not in gentoo. Requires postgresql!
Made in java by l'OSAF. Not in gentoo (as of sept 2008). It installs the whole stuff (tomcat,derby,mysql,chandlerserver...) preconfigured.
- chandler, from l'OSAF as well, the corresponding client. Not in gentoo (as of sept 2010). Reported dead by gentoo developers on december 2010.
